ICMPD Annual Report 2023 📢 The Annual Report takes stock of the milestones, opportunities and challenges in the past year, along with recurring issues that have surfaced to reshape the migration discourse. While they do not provide financial support or network introductions, their influence varies based on the strength of their relationships and their personal migration outcome. What drives Afghan nationals to migrate from Pakistan? A recent ICMPD study delves into their migration intentions, the factors influencing these decisions, and the ways they gather information. This report aims to guide a campaign providing accurate migration information, promoting informed decision-making, and mitigating risks associated with irregular paths. 💡 Findings reveal economic hardships and security concerns as major drivers, with social networks playing a key role in influencing decisions. ICMPD Annual Report 2023 📢 The Annual Report takes stock of the milestones, opportunities and challenges in the past year and recurring issues that have surfaced to reshape the migration discourse. As the lead in migration dialogues, ICMPD navigates these complexities with agility, through more than 90 projects across 90 countries globally. As stated by Michael Spindelegger, ICMPD Director General: 💬 “The complex challenges in migration need stronger partnerships for holistic, innovative, balanced, and forward-looking solutions.
